History

Les Constructions Bricon ltée is a family business founded in 1987 by Jean Brissette. The company specialized early in the excavation of all kinds, decontamination as well as in snow removal.

In 1990, the company decided to expand its activities with sewer and water work and increases its market share in the municipal, commercial and industrial sectors.

In 1994, the company establishes its headquarters in the Saint-Bruno industrial park at the junction of Highway 30 and Highway 116.

In 1995, Les Constructions Bricon ltée started a new company specialized in heavy equipment transportation: "Transport Spécialisé Bricon" with equipment carrying capacity increased especially during periods of thaw. The company serves the territories of Canada and the United States.

In 1996, Les Constructions Bricon ltée get the Dominique Rollin Award of Excellence held by the South-Shore Chamber of Commerce, in the category "Construction company of the year.

In 1998, the company positioned itself strategically in the snow removal business and obtain contracts from the Ministry of Transportation for snow removal on highways 20 and 10. In 2005, contracts for snow removal on Highway 30 and 116 are added.

In 2000, Les Constructions Bricon ltée get their certificate of registration for ISO 9002 (1994) as general contractor, for construction and snow removal.

In 2002, Les Constructions Bricon ltée undertake the purchase of a mobile crusher on tracks with a goal of recycling materials and sustainable development. Today, three complete sets of primary and secondary crusher can meet the needs of our customers with a volume of more than half a million tonnes annually.

In 2003, Les Constructions Bricon ltée get their certificate of registration for the new ISO 9001 (2000).

In 2005, an agreement was reached with the owners of the Methe quarry located in Stanbridge Station and Les Constructions Bricon ltée become independent operator of this site. That same year, Les Constructions Bricon ltée is awarded the contract for the redevelopment of Route 132 in the municipalities of Candiac and Delson. This project for the Ministry of Transport has a value of 42 million and includes 2.2 kilometers of highway and 3 structures.

In 2008, always on the lookout for expansion and development, Les Constructions Bricon ltée. embark in the pavement business. For its first summer of operation, the company accumulates approximately forty projects both commercial, industrial and residential.

For Les Constructions Bricon ltée, 2009 marks the end of their first full year of operation with their new asphalt plant. The company is registered with the new ISO 9001:2008 and its asphalt plant, bearing the identification number MTQ-184 is certified to that standard. In August 2009, the construction of the new headquarters was completed and Les Constructions Bricon ltée moves into their new offices on Route 116 in the borough of Saint-Hubert, Longueuil. This is also the same year that the company starts operating the quarry in Godmanchester and changes its turnover from 2 million in 1992 to 70,000,000. Les Constructions Bricon ltée now features more than 200 employees.
